i play golf everyday and several times a week in competitive tournaments i wouldnt use it a lot on my home course but i will mostly use it to make yardage books for the courses ive never played and will play in tournaments
Bushnell is THE name in laser range finders. They market some specifically towards golfers because they have what is called "pinseeker" technology. Basically it'll lock on to what you're aiming at and give you a proper yardage (instead of getting that tree that's 30 yards behind the green). I've been using the Bushnell Tour V2 for this entire season (previously had golflogix GPS) and it's awesome.
Go with the bushnell. Any money you save will be offset by the inferior quality of the product. Also, if you decide eventually you want to sell and upgrade, the bushnell will retain it's value much better -- but you won't want to sell it, believe me.
Also, since you play a lot of tournaments, be sure you don't buy a range finder with "slope" capability. These are illegal for use in tournament play.

Hi, John here. I love golf and tech gadgets and the two merge here with these really cool Golf GPS Systems. I wasn't finding enough information on them to suit me on the internet and can't stand the stuffy pro shops so decided to put together this blog crammed with information, articles, reviews, pics, videos, you name it.
